Prior to Ellis Island, the Castle Garden, was the landing station for immigrants entering the United States. The Bruders Family arrived in New York on March 21, 1882. 

“We are on Broadway” 

The Bruders family could not believe their eyes as they arrived on Broadway. This was the largest city they had ever visited and it was even more chaotic than their wildest dreams.
